All axis slideways deploy hardened and ground solid guideways with turcite B coating. This combination provides both high rigidity and smoothness in axial movements.
Hardened and ground ball screws are precisely pre-tensioned at both ends, supported by angular contact thrust bearings with directly coupled high response Siemens 1FT drives, giving outstanding positioning and repeatability characteristics, exceeding ISO 10791- 4
The high precision BT50 spindle has been carefully designed, with angular contact ceramic bearings, with high torque from a two-range gearbox and with a standard spindle speed of 6000 RPM. Spindle oil cooling is standard reducing thermal growth and distortion.
