GTS Series

Goodway high performance turning centres are designed to provide continuous production of precision parts as a result of rigorous testing and the inherent design of the thermally balanced Meehanite bed casting together with NSK precision P4 spindle bearings and ‘machine active’ sensitive slide lubrication system. Designed for simultaneous turning of two work pieces within one setup, the GTS series incorporates twin-opposing spindles and turrets. Both turrets can work simultaneously with one turret at each spindle to achieve ultimate efficiency. On the GTS series, live tooling, CF axis and Y axis options are available to further extend the machining capabilities.
Fanuc controls and Alpha i motors and drives are used throughout with the option of the conversational Manual Guide I programming function. All axes motors have Absolute Encoders providing instantaneous axes position knowledge on power-up.
Most spindle motors are reversed into the machine frame to afford the minimum of machine footprint and floor space. Coolant tanks are separate to the machine casting to afford ease of fluid changing and cleaning.
