In todays demanding manufacturing environment turned components are becoming more and more complex, with far more emphasis placed on milling, drilling and slotting operations to complete the application in a single set up. To carry out these machining functions cost-effectively YMT Technologies Tooling Division offers the Algra range of driven tooling units for CNC lathes.

Available exclusively from YMT Technologies Tooling Division, the Algra range offers additional functionality and exceptional value for money. The single driven tooling range offers axial or radial units (left or right hand) with coolant supplied internally, externally or both. And, a single tool unit with an adjustable angle head which can be set +/- 90° of the centerline. The axial double-ended driven tool units feature external coolant supply only. Both the single and double-ended drives are available with ER20,ER25,ER32 and ER40 collets.

High transmission ratios are available for both the single and double-ended units. This provides a four to one increase in the cutting speed of the tool, which makes the most of the high speed tooling and helps to increase productivity further.

Unlike many of their competetitors Algra machine there tooling to ensure it is a complete unit. This ensures maximum rigidity whilst machining and the heat treated units guarantee increased working life and efficiency.

The Algra range covers most makes of CNC lathes, including Cincinatti, Citizen, CMZ and since becoming the world wide partner to DMG Mori Seiki they can now provide tooling to suit a variety of Mori Seiki machine tools. Lathes fitted with Baruffaldi, Duplomatic and Sauter tool discs can also benefit from Algra's wide range of driven tooling.
