TS640 Tool Measuring Probe
WORKPIECE SETUP
Touch probes eliminate the time consuming task of manual workpiece
alignment. With the TS 3-D touch probe system, you simply probe
two points either manually or under program control. If the NC
control supports touch probes, it will electronically compensate the
measured misalignment.
SETTING DATUMS
A TS three-dimensional touch probe enables you to define corners or
circle centres as datums, depending on the probing functions provided
by your NC control.
WORKPIECE MEASUREMENT
TS three-dimensional touch trigger probes can be used to measure
workpieces under program control, even between individual machining
cycles - for example to compensate tool wear. The NC control can
transmit the results of measurement through the data interface or use
them for in-process control.
DIGITIZING 3-D SURFACES
TS three dimensional touch probes are also intended for digitizing
surface models and workpieces. Heidenhain offers a number of
styli of various shapes and diameters.
